What does Wey U mean?
- Chante Moore- Wey U is a form of jazz scatting. Really no true meaning to the actual words; however, if you pay close attention to the beginning before her vocals then pay attention to her vocals you will notice that she is mimicking the instruments (jazz scatting). Also towards the end you can really hear her and the horn together.
Mrs Moore also used her own twist with a bit of R&B Soul (the melody that can be heard in certain notes).
Jazz scatting is the way the jazz singer hear the instruments. They then mimic the instruments vocally to their own emotions.
